Install in three steps
No install needed? Sign in on the web — the same restaurant, from any browser, kept in step with the counter PC.
- Run the downloaded RestroForge-Setup.exe. If Windows SmartScreen shows "Windows protected your PC", click More info → Run anyway (the installer is signed with the RestroForge certificate, which Microsoft has not yet built a reputation for).
- Follow the installer — it puts RestroForge in the Start menu and on the desktop, and later updates install themselves from inside the app.
- Sign in with the e-mail and password you were given (type the e-mail — RestroForge never fills it in for you). The first sign-in asks you to set your own password.
Updating? Just run the new setup over the old one — your data, settings and printers are kept. Everything lives in C:\ProgramData\RestroForge, and daily backups go to Documents\RestroForge\backups.
After installing
- Printers: Settings → Printers → choose your 58 mm printer for Bills and KOTs → Test print.
- Menu & tables: Settings → Data → Remove sample menu & tables, then add your own. For bulk entry download the sample menu CSV, fill it in Excel or Google Sheets (one row per item or per size; columns
category, item, variant, price, gst_percent, favourite_lists, available) and use Settings → Menu → Import CSV. Export CSV writes your menu in the same format for bulk price changes.
- Cloud sync: Settings → Cloud sync → enter your pairing code — orders, menu and settings are mirrored to your server and come back down on any PC you pair.
- Keyboard: press F1 anywhere for every shortcut (F9 send to kitchen, F10 bill & pay,
/ search, F11 full screen).
