What we store, where, and who sees it

Short version: your restaurant's data is yours. It lives on your PC first; the cloud holds a copy only so your other devices can see it.

Data on your PC

Orders, menu, tables, inventory, settings and your login are stored in a database file on the counter PC (C:\ProgramData\RestroForge). The app writes a daily backup to your Documents folder. Nothing on the PC is sent anywhere unless you pair it with the cloud.

Data in the cloud

When you pair a PC or sign in from a browser, the same records are mirrored to RestroForge's server so every device sees the same restaurant. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes, never in clear text. Local backup files never contain the cloud credentials or your session.

The server is used for sync, sign-in and software updates. We do not sell or share restaurant data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Your account

Details you enter when creating an account (restaurant, your name, e-mail, phone, city) are used to run your account and to contact you about it. Write to hello@restroforge.online to have them removed.

Cookies and tracking

This website uses no analytics cookies and no third-party trackers. The web app stores your restaurant's copy in your browser's own storage so it can work offline; signing out clears the session, and clearing the site data removes the copy.

Leaving

Every report exports to CSV and the whole restaurant exports as an encrypted backup file at any time. If you cancel, the PC keeps working on the Starter features and your data stays with you. Ask and we delete the cloud copy.
